We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Note, cards issued by local banks which are not listed above will not be accepted by our global processing service, in which case we recommend PayPal as an alternative.

Brutal truth is committed to maintaining the highest levels of security and protection against fraud. While we make every endeavour to ensure every shopping experience with us is a good one, in the event a credit card is used without the holder's authorisation, the card holder must notify their credit card provider in accordance with their reporting rules and procedures.



Ordering

Changing or cancelling an order
If you need to change or cancel your order please contact our team straight away. We, unfortunately, cannot make any changes or cancel your order after it has left our premises. If you have any urgent changes please contact our team ASAP by clicking here

Pre-Orders
Pre-orders are items that are not in stock currently but are being made to order and will ship at a later date. The estimated arrival date for the item will be displayed on the product page. If you submit a pre-order, this is treated like an actual order and you will be charged for the item/s and shipping when placing your order and your order will be mailed out to you as soon as the shipment reaches our warehouse.


Shipping & Delivery

DELIVERY
We currently deliver to Australian addresses ONLY via Australia Post. All goods are generally dispatched within the week of order from Melbourne, Victoria and delivered between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Please ensure that someone is available at your delivery address as a signature will be requested upon delivery. If an authorised person is not able to sign for your delivery the driver will leave a card and the delivery will be returned to the nearest collection centre for you to collect. Please note that once your order is on its way, we are unable to change the shipping address.

STANDARD DELIVERY
Currently, we offer standard delivery at a flat fee of AU$15.00 (incl.GST). Orders over $50 in product value will be delivered free of shipping charge and sent via our standard delivery service.

EXPRESS DELIVERY
We are now offering express delivery at a flat fee of AU$25.00 (incl.GST). Orders over $50 in product value will be delivered free of shipping charge. Please select your preferred delivery option at checkout.

TRACKING ORDERS
You can track your order via our shipping confirmation email. If you do not receive your tracking details, please contact our team directly.

COVID-19
Our aim is to get your products to you as soon as possible, however, due to the current circumstances surrounding Covid-19, you may experience delays in the delivery of your order. Please be patient as we’re doing our very best, along with our delivery partners, to get your products to you ASAP.

VOLCANOES, RIOTS AND GLOBAL PANDEMICS
We are not responsible for any delay, suspension or failure arising out of any circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, governmental actions, strikes, lockouts or other labour difficulty, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, fire, explosion, flood, an act or omission of a third party, inability to obtain any necessary materials, equipment, facilities or services, the failure of performance provided by others, internet interruption or virus, accidents or breakdown of plant, machinery, software, hardware or communication network. If any of these events happen we will probably be out there helping and the last thing you should be trying to do is purchase skincare products.


Returns

RETURNS POLICY
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable and charges for returned items are the responsibility of the customer. Brutal Truth takes no responsibility for missing incoming deliveries of a return. We encourage you to return your item(s) via registered or traceable postal services as return parcels remain the responsibility of the customer until received by Brutal Truth.

REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

EXCHANGES

Are Brutal Truth products made in Australia?

Yes, our products are made in Melbourne and we’re 100% Australian owned.

Are Brutal Truth products free-from aluminium, zinc, SLS, SLES, parabens, artificial fragrances or colours?

Correct, you won’t find any of those in our products.

Does Brutal Truth use artificial/synthetic oils?

No, Brutal Truth have developed a range of natural essential oils designed to work on their own or with each other. It’s important to understand that natural essential oils do not have the same strength as a chemical fragrance. Our scents will be strongest when first applied and then gradually dissipate after a few hours.

Does Brutal Truth use botanical extracts?

We do. Brutal Truth products are built for daily use, utilising robust ingredients for whatever man can throw at them. The formulations have been made with Australian native extracts designed to work on their own or with each other.

Are Brutal Truth products suitable for vegans?

Yes, with the exception of one product. We are working on launching an all-natural vegan formula for our All-in-1 Moisturiser with SPF 15 soon, so please stay tuned.

Does Brutal Truth test their products on animals?

No, after 12 months in the lab, we’ve only tested on and off our own faces.

Is Brutal Truth deodorant an antiperspirant?

Yes. We use plant-based ingredients to reduce and absorb sweat, by tightening pores and trapping the odour, thus allowing your body to breathe and release toxins naturally. We don’t formulate with aluminium which is known to block the pores and prevent the body from sweating naturally

Does Brutal Truth Antiperspirant actually work?

Yes. Whilst we think they smell good thanks to their natural essential oils, they have other benefits like pro-vitamin B5 to help keep skin soft and prebiotics to support healthy bacteria whilst restricting odour forming bacteria in your underarms. Our antiperspirants are formulated with quality plant-based ingredients that are effective in absorbing wetness and neutralising odour without the use of zinc, ethanol, parabens, sulphates, artificial fragrances, colours or palm oil.

Do Brutal Truth Antiperspirants have alcohol?

In our ingredients listing you can find Benzyl Alcohol, which is commonly used as a preservative in many natural skincare products. Whilst the term “alcohol” is used in the name, it does not contain any ethanol, which is what you might be concerned about.

Do Brutal Truth Antiperspirants have baking soda?

No. We use Bamboo Stem Extract to absorb wetness and reduce odour. Whilst baking soda is effective at absorbing sweat and odour causing bacteria, it can be harsh on the skin and cause irritation. It is more alkaline than your skin, which could disrupt your skin's natural pH balance causing irritating consequences.

Is Bamboo Stem extract safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, Bamboo Stem extract is an anti-irritant making it safe for sensitive skin. It helps strengthen the barrier to help absorb wetness without staining or clogging pores.

Will I need to ‘detox' from my conventional deodorant?

When transitioning from traditional antiperspirants to natural deodorant or antiperspirant, some people may experience a ‘detox’ period. After prolonged use of aluminium based deodorants that block sweat glands, the body may need time to expel these toxins once you stop using them. You may experience an increase in odour, wetness and sensitivity. If you do experience a detox period, please continue with Brutal Truth natural antiperspirant as your body will adjust, usually within 1-2 weeks.

Will Brutal Truth antiperspirant stain my clothing?

It’s unlikely. Yellow sweat stains are often the result of chemical reaction between your body and aluminium salts found in antiperspirants. The chemical reaction produces yellow-coloured deposits that remain stuck in the fibres of your clothing. We recommend that you avoid over-applying and ensure your underarms are dry before applying deodorant. Avoid tight clothing and synthetic fabrics. It is important to note that yellow stains may also occur without any antiperspirant ingredients.

Damn it, my roll-on Antiperspirant's ball is jammed!

This can happen if the formula has dried over the ball. Try pressing firmly and rolling it back and forth on a piece of fabric. Still having trouble? Get in touch.

Why do I need to store my Brutal Truth products below 30 degrees?

If the antiperspirants or skincare products are exposed to high temperatures such as being left on the dash of your car, they can go rancid. This is due to not using chemical stabilisers in our natural formulas.

I have sensitive skin, do I need to do a patch test?

It’s a good idea. We always recommend it to ensure there’s no irritations that may occur.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Brutal Truth does use recyclable packaging.
